I am happy to report that there are still a few tickets available for the first Wine Around event! Santa Ynez Valley Visitors Association has been working diligently with us here at Chumash, and with three local wineries to put together the finishing touches on what promises to be a wonderful two-day wine celebration.

Today I went out to Clos Pepe Estate (pronounced “Cloh Peppy”) for a private tour and wine tasting with Wes Hagen, the property manager and Wine Maker. For lack of a better way to describe my experience, I feel like I just spent two hours in the kitchen of one of my closest friends.

After Dierberg Star Lane, we gathered up our purchases and headed into Lompoc for a visit to the Wine Ghetto. The Wine Ghetto gets its name for the industrial-buildings-turned-production-facilities for a number of Santa Ynez Valley wineries.
