March Madness is in full swing and you don’t have to be a basketball fan to get in on the action. Every Thursday in March, The Spa at Chumash Casino Resort is offering a slam dunk of a deal: 50 minute massages for $59.

Stores are stocked with red, pink and white; available reservation times are disappearing on Open Table; and I am reminded of grade school’s construction paper envelopes and the drugstore 32-pack of cartoon Valentines. The pressure surrounding this giant celebration of love can be overwhelming, so I’m going to share some of my favorite places to experience when I want to escape with someone special.
